With good choices like that it won’t matter what the scale says. It all evens out.

Thanks guys! I am surprised I weighed the same this morning as I did yesterday morning. I’ve got a good no-cheat-streak and I’m trying so hard to reach my mini goal of 165 by Friday. I still have a shot.

Does spinach taste better raw? I don't care for it when it's cooked.

And thank you for telling me. :-)

Cjodyssey, I can only eat raw spinach. To me it's disgusting when it's cooked.

What does it taste like raw?

Raw spinach is very very clean tasting, like exactly how a raw leaf would taste. While I enjoy it cooked and with vinegar and salt, I understand that it is a very strong flavor when it’s cooked. Go for it raw and add a fat free dressing. You’ll be glad you did

Cj, raw spinach tastes less bitter than cooked spinach, at least to me! "Baby" spinach -- smaller leaves -- is milder and a bit sweeter still. Completely different from stewed or stewed spinach. Fresh spinach usually comes in bundles or in sealed plastic containers or bags. The next time you're in a produce department, pinch off a leaf of fresh spinach and eat it. That'll give you an idea.

Of course, if you're following a LCHF/keto diet, you can use full-fat salad dressing (within your calorie allowance).

Thank y'all so much. I know these questions seem silly but i am unable to go to the grocery myself(yet) and the person who goes for now isn't the type who would try it and tell me about it lol

Why aren’t you going to the grocery store sweetheart?

I have a really bad back that is exacerbated by the weight of my stomach. I have peripheral nerve damage. I can't stand for very long or walk all that far without the pain overwhelming me. BUT, while the pain is there no matter my weight, my stamina has already increased over the last couple of months. I think within the next month or two i will at least be able to shop using the motorized cart they have in the store.

Cj, I can’t stand spinach cooked unless it’s absolutely buried in a stir fry so I don’t notice it. But I’ll eat it and many other ‘green’ leafy vegetables in salads. Romaine, especially if it isn’t fresh, or even kale I think personally have a stronger taste, romaine being the more bitter. Young spring greens can be good as well in a salad. You’ll pay a premium for them all. Most salad veggies like radishes and celery the leaves are edible in your salad as well. 🙋🏻
