I struggle a lot with my mental health, so exercising has been increasingly difficult.
I actually went on a walk tonight to blow off steam. Now I'm trying to figure out if and what I can eat.

mental health issues are in every way shape and form completely connected to ambition, motivation and energy. some days I feel it takes everything I have just to go out and walk.
it always helps me feel better though once I do it

Wow, thanks for the support. Wasn't expecting kindness 😅
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has those days where just walking outside takes soooooo much effort.
I always feel lethargic, and it's hard to go out unless I absolutely have to. I got upset and just decided to walk for 40 minutes so I wouldn't do anything rash.
However I am trying to go out more and hopefully have a routine of walking.

I can relate in a small way. Mental heath played a big factor (bigger than I as able to admit to myself at the time) in my gain over the prior 5 years. Got no sage advice beyond keep fighting and try to keep in mind that sometime the last thing you 'want' to do is the very thing you 'need' to do. At least that is how it was for me. Also now, making plans on what i'm going to eat at least a day ahead is helping with the times the head just wants to say 'Puck it all'.

Walking and if you have a dog to walk with that helps, too. Are you getting your vitamins? They are crucial in managing your health, including mental health. (voice of experience)

Be sure to take care of yourself. That might include activities you enjoy (as suggested above) along with regular counseling.
