I am determined to lose the weight and keep it off. I have a personal trainer and will be meeting with a nutritionist to stay on track. In the last few days, I have learned a few new things I did not know before. 1) We are supposed to drink 66% of our body weight in water. So I need to drink 200 oz of water to cleanse and flush my system. No other form of liquid counts towards this 66%. 2) When I work out, I need to concentrate on one area in one day due to blood flow - I noticed when I worked on my lower body, my legs and abs were sore. The trainer told me that is because I did the exercise correctly. Today, I am going to focus on my upper body - chest and arms. 3) I need to really pay attention to the glycemic index, when I think I am eating right, I realized some of my "healty" foods were high on the GI. 4) I need to eat before I work out - wasn't really doing that - and I need to eat protein. I guess there is something to the Atkins diet. 5) Breakfast really is the most important meal of the day, so I am now making sure I take my multi-vitamin and eat a good breakfast rich in protein and fiber since I work out in the mornings.
Have a great week! Ciao!
