Parties are hard. If I know I am going out, I have been eating really light during the morning and saving my calories for the evening.

PS: I also have been using the calorie counter and you may want to eat light before you go so you are not so hungry. Remember drinks count too. Its killing me to moderate on the mixed drinks. Love my margaritas.

Parties like that are hard. In my opinion, and we all know what those are like, it is okay to slip as long as it is very much so the exception and definitely not the rule. What I do is to eat in moderation. Loading myself up with knowledge has helped me, a usually bad selector of what to eat, eat as healthy as possible. Also, portion control. A nibble here and there do add up but if we choose are nibbles and the size of the nibble, we can minimize the damage. The other day my company had a BBQ Buffet for lunch, I live in Kansas City where the BBQ is awesome, but was still able to keep myself from grazing. I researched on the site and let the nutrition information scare me into being a good boy. Good luck...

Thank you all for the suggestions, they're very helpful. :) Also, I'm going to make a reasonably healthy Ecuadorian Shrimp Ceviche to bring for the party (extra credit in the class).
