I am new here, and I am following the Atkins diet. The first couple of weeks I lost about 6 pounds. Since then not much. My original start weight was 179. Today I am 170. I have some other health issues so I take prednisone quiet a bit, I believe this attributes to my weight issue.

However, I am committed to staying the course and losing this weight, I feel great on this program, and the cravings for sugar have disappeared completely. I never thought in a million years that I could be free of that.

Last night I bought a cake for my sister's birthday, and it didn't bother me at all that I didn't have any. I count that as success.
