It is so nice to get up in the morning and see everyone's posts on FS! I love seeing all of your determination even in the face of a disappointing day here and there. You are all such inspirations.

Day 2 of cutting back on my third diabetic med destined to be off of was interesting. The day went well overall. I took my blood sugar reading a couple of hours before bed and was astonished that it was 68! That is NOT a good thing! I had to put some carbs in my system to get it up to a safe level before going to sleep.

This morning is somewhat discouraging as my blood sugar was 175. That, too, it NOT a good thing! So, I had hard boiled eggs for breakfast and will hope it fall into line before lunch time and my salad.

The GOOD news...is...2 more pounds off!

There will come a time very quickly that the pounds are going to start falling off faster and I will have to rely on that more than decreasing meds. The pounds have to go before I can completely get off the insulin.

I am totally thrilled with the changes so far. I'm determined to continue to do this. Oh, yes, I wish there was a quick fix!! I just remind myself that I didn't get to this point quickly and I can't expect to get where I want quickly! The main thing is to keep doing what I'm doing with a positive attitude and appreciate every little change that is happening!

This is wonderful news are you cutting carbs to get rid of those meds. I cut mine to under 20 that made all the difference! Good luck continued success, have a great weekend!

Thank you, Patty! Yes, have cut out almost all the carbs. I'm such a sucker for pasta, cookies, cakes, ice cream, breads....Ugh! But, I've found it a lot easier than I thought it would be to do it. I hope you have a great weekend also!
