I am in KETOSIS, yay! I didn't realize that, "reprogramming your body to burn fat as energy in the absence of carbs" was the same thing as ketosis. I guess ketosis is a bad word now because of the death of Dr. Atkins and the more dangerous ketoacidosis.

I noticed my pee was oily-looking yesterday, and that surprised me because my diet is so low in fat. I started googling the symptom and the less horrifing results pointed towards ketosis. I purchased some ketone sticks last night, and this morning discovered that I am in the trace to small range. Exciting!

TOM is coming within the next week and I find my weight has stalled a bit. I think that the sodium in the seasoning packets I use also come into play. I don't add salt to food usually, so this introduction salt via McCormick seasoning packs might be affecting me.

The HCG diet recommends doing an apple day when you stall, but I don't think that is necessary. Inadvertently, it might become an apple day. I have to cater today from 1pm until ? (probably 10) and I don't know if there will be time for more than some apple slices. I might have to cut up everything into bite size pieces and constantly snack to keep my energy up.

I am almost out of chicken breasts, so this coming week will be tilapia, tuna, and more tilapia until payday. That ought to be interesting since both are lower calorie than boneless skinless chicken breasts.

I had an urge...no, not a craving...to cook scrambled eggs and bacon this morning. Then just a second ago, a brief urge to cut up a pineapple with my bell peppers. I wonder if I can eat pineapple.
