I took the month of December off from food journaling. I just needed a break. Can anyone relate? It was a sort of Christmas gift to myself. But I am back at it with the the new year. My BMI is at 36.2. My highest 46.8, so I have made great progress. My cholesterol is down 102 points this year and my A1C is down .02!

I missed my year-end weight loss goal by only 2 pounds. That's okay though. Soon enough I will be at a weight that will put me <36 BMI, which puts me out of the Obese II and into the Obese category. My year-end goal was to be just Obese. How many people can say that and mean it--ha! I lost a brother this fall to a massive heart attack--no warning. My other brother went in to have his heart checked. He has had a heart attack and didn't know it. I am happy that I am on the road to better health. My first grandchild will be 1 yr next month. I want to be the fun Nana who is in the pool, in the park, at the zoo, etc. with her for many years to come.

The next goal I am chasing is 196 pounds, which will put me at a BMI of 29.8, or into the Overweight category. I have not set a date. I am instead setting a challenge to move more. I have my eating under control. I really love what the Reliv produces are doing for me. So now ... I move more.

Everyone, remember your whys. They are much more important than that the morsel you will only taste for a moment.

The picture with me in yellow is recent (two months ago). The next is me with my son and granddaughter (8 months ago). The one with my two brothers was taken about two years ago.
