It all started with celebrating completion of a test I'd been dreading, and feeling as though I probably did pretty well, despite all the fretting...

While picking up a few things at the store after the test, and I WAS hungry, I spied a little bag of Honey Mustard pretzels...not a HORRIBLE choice, like a half-gallon of ice cream or something, right?

Well, my next big mistake was to start on them in the car driving home...
I've ALWAYS had trouble stopping a snack once I've started, and in the car, without throwing them out the window, it was inevitable what would happen next...

I didn't eat them all, but when I got home, I started in on something else, and it's been kind of downhill ever since. I'm actually lucky it wasn't a bigger gain.

Today is our 10th wedding anniversary, and we will be celebrating wildly this evening...Honestly, I've more or less resigned myself to just holding my own until school is out later this month, then hitting it hard again while I have more time for exercise. I also enjoy crochet, and have several pending projects for during my time off. You cannot crochet AND eat, so that will help, too :)

Bottom line...I know what my weaknesses are, it's simply a matter of controlling them...and isn't that just life?
144.0 lb Lost so far: 8.0 lb.    Still to go: 9.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

You're not the only one looking forward to the summer break and having more time for exercise, I can't wait. Even when not trying to lose weight my daily summer routine has always included a long beach walk and a strenuous swim so I usually lose a couple pounds in the summer without trying. This year, though, I'll really be going for it to get down to that goal weight and stay there. I'm sure you'll be there with me - just don't let the snacking take over and lead to a further gain in the meantime, you're doing great overall :)
