Yesterday was a cheat day, so today is officially Day 1 of my slow carb lifestyle change. More veggies and legumes, less grains and sugars (plus a cheat day thrown in periodically to keep away the crazies and spark the metabolism). I'm so excited because my children did an experimental week with me back in January and they were shocked at how good they felt when we ate that way (especially in comparison to our "cheat" day--which left us all lethargic, queasy and running for the bathroom--quite insightful for 3 teenagers).
