Starting my 4x4 challenge this week:
4 weeks of 4 days at the gym gets me a new pair of gym shoes. Which would be fantastic. I hate my gym shoes right now :)

Good goal! I like that idea, I need new shoes too, but I'm trying to wait until I lose about 2 more pounds.

I used to tie my rewards to weight lost, but it's not always predictable based on the effort that you put in, so I wouldn't make my goal and then just buy myself new stuff anyway, and not feel good about it. I'm trying this for the first time, with small mini-challenges along the way too (if this week I go all 4 days, I'm buying myself something small that I want too).
We'll see how it goes. I'm trying to not only to motivate myself to stick to my diet and exercise, but also control my terrible impulse buying :)
