OK so it's Day 5 of my 2 week Gastric Sleeve prep diet. Diet is basically all liquid (Protein shakes etc), with yogurt and creme soups allowed.
Target is Lots of Protein, Zero added sugar, and NO Fat. Goal is to shrink liver as much as possible, to make surgery easier.
What I have learned so far.
1. I should have backed down my eating the week before starting. That is I indulged a bit, and ate extra that makes the liquid diet even harder.
2. Do NOT stick to a normal eating schedule, Breakfast, lunch and Dinner. Dividing your calories across the entire day, works best. about every 2 hours.
3. Drink TON's of water between eating.
4. Eat slow, taking 20 minutes to eat a Yogurt while working is much better than sucking it down.
Friday morning start of day 1, I was 308.2 lbs. Tuesday morning start of day 5, I was 295.6 .
Am I hungry? Sometimes. How do I feel? Empty is the best description. It's tough to separate hunger and just wanting to eat.
