I am so proud of Myself!

This is the first time that I have maintained my motivation and positive life style habits. I am almost amazed at the difference it has made. I feel so great about myself and the choices I have been making. It seems like one good choice leads to another good choice and so on and so on. I guess the same way one bad choice leads to another bad choice.

I have been really watching my trends and paying attention to what my body likes and what it works well with. I know I still have a ton of observing to do but I’m starting to feel confident enough to be able to know what food is good for me and what food I should really stay away from. I’m not talking about “healthy food” like fruit and veggies, stuff that everyone knows is good for them, it’s more like I’m starting to know just how much my body needs for breakfast or how much and what my body really likes before I work out, things that I have never paid attention to before. It has been a very hard lesson to learn (I mean it only took me 30 years to get it lol) but I think I’m finally getting the hang of it.

Calorie wise I think I’m doing really well. Finally getting the hang of it and what works for my body. I am planning on weighing in this weekend, either Friday or Saturday. I know there will be a difference and it’s time to put my fears behind me and just step up to the plate, bite the bullet so to speak. From here on in I plan to weigh myself every week, no matter what the outcome is, lose or gain.

Exercise wise I have stuck to my goal and have managed to ride my exercise bike for an hour or more every single day. I have also been doing weight training 3 times a week for an hour or more each session, one day my lower body then my upper body. I try to do 12 reps of 12 on each muscle. This works well for me because it gives my sore muscles a chance to heal in between sessions. Someone told me not too long ago that if you really want to lose weight you must focus your energy on weight training not cardio, not too sure if this statement is true or not but I find that what is working best for me is a lot of both, weight training and cardio. I also attended my very first Zumba class 2 weeks ago and loved it so much that I have planned to take it at least 2-3 times a week, just to mix things up.

I would like to thank all of my FS buddies for all your wonderful comments and encouragement, I wouldn’t be able to keep myself motivated and in such good spirits if it weren’t for all of you (I’m pretty sure my husband thanks you too lol)!! Reading everyone’s posts and comments is so motivational and so inspiring. Thank you all!!

You are so right about choices affecting the next. One good one helps the next but one bad one can do the same. I have to remember that next time I want to skip a workout. This journal is a motivation in itself. Keep up the great work and sharing. Thank you :)
