Well, my attempt to do the 5-day fast was a bit rocky. I kept getting through the first and most of the second day and then binging, to the point where there was no point in attempting to log cuz I wasn't paying attention to what/how much I was eating.

I decided not to weigh in until I completed it. Finally got through five full days (which was legit painful by the end btw) but, seeing as I'm only showing a 2lb drop since my last weigh in, I'm guessing most the benefit of that went towards undoing the damage I did with the binging.

My conclusion? Fasting is probably not a good tool for me personally lol
147.0 lb Lost so far: 28.0 lb.    Still to go: 32.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Christi, you may want to give smaller fasting windows a try to see if there are ones that feel good and work for you. There are lots of good reasons to fast, but for me it is also a great tool to help limit my daily calorie (energy) input. For sure intermittent fasting feels easier for me than just steady portion control by itself. Also, I'm not stuck on any particular fasting schedule, sometimes 12 hours, sometimes 16, sometimes 20 hours (one meal in the day).. I just roll with whatever feels good for the day and fits my other activities. I try not to, and mostly succeed, at not binging at the end of these smaller fasts which really only skip one or two meals in the day. Good luck, hope you too can find some weight loss tools that work for you!!
