susieq1941's Journal, 06 December 2007

Well I got off all the thanksgiving weight....I met my goal, down 1 pound this week. I believe that I have to lower my calories so that will be my goal this week; to go from an average of about 1200 to between 1000 and 1100. At this point, it looks as though I am on maintenance, but I want to lose 20 pounds, and they do say CALORIES COUNT. I follow Phase 2, but in small amounts, and not every day. Going to daughter's for next week +. This should be a challenge, alhough she knows I shop for my own foods once I arrive, and I will have a computer to log into. I wish you all well.
159.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 19.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Something that worries me though is that if our bodies get so used to all these low calories will we put on weight when we start to increase it? I want to increase my metabolism enough so that I can eat loads! For now I will stick to filling up on lots of healthy low-calories, nutritious foods!

if you eat the right "good" foods in the proper portions you will not regain the weight...that is part of the process of cleansing your body and making sure that you are detoxed

Have a wonderful time susieq! And Juno, excellent point, in fact the book and my doctor keep telling me the importance of building muscle while losing weight in phase 1. Other wise the weight loss and lower cals etc, will slow your metabolism down. You do have to add those good carb choices and you MUST build muscle, MUST. In fact I was thinking I may have slowed down a bit because I need more muscle training. For our challenge I'm going to really kick up the strength training. Plus I asked Santa to bring me weighted balls and a balance ball/board thing. LOL I love that kind of workout equipment and I have a whole empty room in my house to work out in! Maybe I should ask Santa for my home theater?
