Donna Mashburn's Journal, 08 June 2017

Sitting here at work at 1am and just went back and read my journal entries for the last three years. Interesting to see my journey; all the ups and downs; the stumbles and accomplishments. All the emotions--good and bad. It is amazing how fast the pounds return and how difficult to get them to leave. The struggle is real. I usually feel kinda silly when I journal, esp the emotional parts, but it is revealing on many levels. I did not realize how well and long I had followed a goal of 1200 calories; I don't think I did it consciously. But it worked. Now I need to get myself back to that mindset, but add to it the bits of wisdom and self-recognition I've gained along the way. It will require both exercise and food control--I've tried each separately without success. I can see what my strengths, weaknesses and challenges have been. To each one who has commented, supported, educated and encouraged me along my journey, a heart-felt "thanks". I hope we ALL succeed!
