livelifefully's Journal, 04 February 2010

In my last journal I challenged my buddies to do something extra hard or different in their workouts. I decided to take my own challenge to heart and tried something new yesterday. The gym (basketball courts) was open at the Y yesterday so I decided to to full court sprints, and did 60 of them. I did them in sets of 20 and timed myself. They were not so much a sprint half way through! It took me about 10-11 min total, or 3.45 per set of 20. That is a great workout though if you want to try something new. I also did weights and biked only for 10 min.

I worked today so didn't work out, but think I will bring my stuff to workout directly after work tomorrow. I'm feeling good and feeling much more in control of my eating. Healthy choices are abounding in my house. My hubby has been trying to lose and is working out to and is down 8 lbs within the last few weeks. It comes off much faster for him but that is how it works. I'm glad he is losing and excited about getting a flat belly back. Report back in on that challenge if you haven't done it yet!

my husband lost his weight so fast and more of it than he wanted so now everyone makes fun of my thinking I got him starved on a diet lol its so easy for them. But thats how it works, like you said. Those sprints sound fantastic. I was running on the TM today when I heard your words, challenge myself and tell you about it. Well I actually partied to much last night, and only wanted to do a mile today. lol I ended up pushing 2 then doing sprints. I love going fast on that thing. You gave me that push I needed to stay on today, thanks! I will try something new this weekend. I should have been good last night though. Anyways, did you miss my journal about the race? Monday's jouranl.
