Hi Lisa, somethings gotta give for you to lose, either eat less calories or increase your activity. if you are maintaining then you have to make some kind of change to make your body do something different. It can be a huge jolt, like going KETO or a small adjustment like making sure you do 25 crunches and 25 squats every other day. But somethings got to change.

20 net carbs (carbs minus fiber). Track EVERYTHING. You're aiming for a diet of roughly 75% fat, 15% protein, 10% carbs. You have to tinker with it to get it right. Good luck!

And I swear by KETO, its challenging but so rewarding! There are a lot of great info online about KETO. I like Diet Doctor https://www.dietdoctor.com/low-carb/keto

Hey Lisa, I know it can be frustrating when you don't feel like you're making any progress but keep in mind, you can be gaining lean muscle at the same time that you're dropping fat. The lean muscle actually weighs more so you may be changing shape and getting healthier but not actually dropping pounds. If you can get your body fat measured periodically, you may see improvement that you didn't realize you were making. I don't know if you've been keeping a real close eye on what you're consuming but try recording absolutely everything that you eat without making any changes to your current diet. This will give you a chance to really get a good idea of how much you're putting in your body and hence, where you may be able to make some small changes that make a big difference for you. Me for instance, I was drinking at least 2 large sweet teas a day and not thinking a thing in the world about it. That's 460 totally useless calories at the very least since I'd often have more sweet tea than that in any given day. I've now switched to unsweetened tea and a whole lot of water. It's not a huge change, I don't feel like I'm denying myself and yet, I'm giving myself back almost 25% of my RDI to use on low calorie food items that will actually fill me up and keep me from overeating later. Just don't give up, you can do this! Good luck and happy munching!

Have you had your thyroid tested by a doctor for Hypothyroidism? If your thyroid is not working properly it can cause you to gain, as well as have a hard time losing.

You should really do some research on Ketogenic Diet. I have been on a rollercoaster of dieting trying to find what will work "long term". Keto is more satisfying than other restrictive diets. You still have to pay attention to calories, but once you understand the macros and get a simple meal plan under your wings.... it is fantastic. I was stuck at 190 for what seemed like an eternity no 3 weeks on keto, I am at 176.6. Well on my way back to my goal. Best part, I don't feel hungry all the time. Good luck on your journey. 😉
