Ok I think my scale or my eyes are playing tricks on me. I switched from South Beach to Atkins, which aren't very different, and gained 2 lbs. I have stuck to Atkins pretty well and have been walking/running. So I don't understand why I gained 2 lbs unless it is my faulty scale. Is it possible, with your carbs restricted to only 20g a day, that a person could gain weight? I thought Atkins was suppose to be a successful program?
133.0 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 8.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I am not sure why you have not lost weight if you have been following the atkins plan exactly its a mystery to me. I would suggest you keep a food diary cos its likely that theres something amiss somewhere. I have had times where I have flattened out for a while (never at the beginning) but not gained unless I have gone astray. Hope you solve the puzzle

How much water are you drinking a day? My weight went up then stabilised at the same weight when i wasnt drinking enough. I agree with the food diary, it helps for the 1st few days till you find your feet. Also make sure your only carbs are leafy green veg. Apart from that....pass!!!
