Hello everyone!! I figured it was time to try the South Beach Diet since I have heard so much about it. I was doing Weight Watchers and I lost 15 lbs over a 8 month period. Well the problem with Weight Watchers, for me, was that I was always hungry and I was always worried that I wouldn't have enough points. So South Beach here I come! Since the end of May I have changed to Atkins and find that it is more structured, which I need.

Does anyone know a good spinach and artichoke frittata recipe?
I have been looking for a good low carb recipe for a spinach and artichoke frittata recipe. All of the frittata recipes I find do not sound good. Can any one help?

Stuck on Atkins- L-Carnitine
I rarely eat cheese, processed meats or sugar-free candy, and I don't eat the meal replacement bars. I have even cut my carbs to about 17g a day.
L-Carnitine is an amino acid that is suppose to aid your body into turning stored fat into energy. I first found out about it in one of Dr. Atkins' books, where he talks about people who have a difficult time losing weight taking CoQ10 and L-Carnitine to aid in their weight loss.

Stuck on Atkins- L-Carnitine
I have been on Atkins for about 2 weeks, and I haven't lost any weight in fact I have gained a few pounds. I have started taking L-Carnitine because it is said that it helps turn fat into energy. Has anyone tried this supplement? Does it work? Anyone have any suggestions as to why I have gained weight on Atkins when I am eating 20g of carbs a day?

carb counters
I don't like fitday.com, I have found that it isn't that accurate when its comes to egg substitutes and such, if you are looking for a carb counter I use www.atkinscenter.com which gives you a list of foods and their net carbs. Also this website gives you great recipes and dessert ideas. I just found it and love it!!
