I see red! Gained .6 lbs and my weight loss bar is back into the red! 248.2 Super sucks, but oh well. Will refocus today.

Last night ate Lebanese food with the family, nothing bad for us, just large portions of flatbread, chicken, hummus, and lamb. I live in a country where everyplace delivers, even McDonalds and KFC, so at least we took the healthy route. Its quite a challenge to have those choices when your out at the mall or driving around, but being able to pick up the phone and have a large fry and a big mac show up, that's dangerous! Thank God that they don't extend delivery to the dessert shops such as Krispy Kreme, and Ice Cream (Actually DQ delivers, but no ice cream). I think I would have gotten bigger if the donut shop delivered :-).

Yesterday continued our stress filled days. Family bickering, and tempers flaring. I contribute a bit to his, as my injury has me laying round the house too much.

A bit of a money crunch going on lately from Christmas, my injury, and Zach getting enrolled in school. I had to borrow a bit of money from a colleague since the school does not take plastic. Quite shocking actually for an American to think about a place requiring several thousand dollar payments every few months to only accept cash, but oh well. My company will reimburse quickly, they have in the past.

Luckily, I have a friend with lots of extra cash about. He is a bit of a hard ass friend, not too friendly or caring at all, and cusses like a sailor. But he is a true friend, bringing me packages from work, and helping with cash when I needed it. I know if I am in a jam, I can call him and he will come help. Anyway, the wife and I have a plan to get this settled out, and everything will be fine soon.

Its funny how a money crunch causes Men so much stress. It seems my wife just goes on like its not happening. So I have to lean on her for support at times like this. Thankfully, I don't have to curl up with some Oreo's at this time. I used to eat a lot more at times of financial problems. I used to make sure the house was WELL stocked with food when we were "broke". Thankfully today I can get on here and talk about it, and don't have to eat my sorrows away. It reminds me of leroy jenkins... "At least I got chicken". I saw that on a tv show the other day, and it made me smile.

Just got an email from my stepson. Good to hear from him for sure, and he supports me on my Journey.

Today I am thankful for my support system, friends and family and fatsecret buddies I can share my troubles with. I am thankful for my wife and kids, who are out right now running errands. I am grateful I realize when they come home they will be tired/stressed, and I will allow that to happen. I am grateful tear gas has not been smelt around our neighborhood lately, and the emergency siren test this AM went off OK. I am also grateful for our housemaid, who is cleaning around me as I type this. If it weren't for her, I may feel alone!

This journey reminds me of another one I was on in the early 90's when I had to shake off the haze of the 80's. I learned a lot of tools back then to be spiritually fit, and let life happen. I am grateful for modern technology which allows our journeys to happen right from out homes.

/Cheers, JP
