CathyJo77 's Journal, 22 January 2010

It sounds like we will not be in the winter storm warning/watch so hopefully I can get to Yankton (25 miles from home) in the am for weigh in at WW. This will help keep me accountable when we go out for supper tonight. It is a little tough though when you live in a small town of 300 people and the local eating establishment has a very limited menu. But I'll try to focus instead on mindful eating and enjoying the food. Also, I need to remind myself I don't need to eat it all and try leave some of the food on my plate. That will be my goal! And I'll focus on more on the social aspect and truly enjoy the company of my husband and friends by giving them my complete attention!

I spent 30 minutes on the bike on the trainer this morning just riding at a steady pace, no intervals, more of a recovery ride. Variety is the spice of life!

Good for you, on your plan for tonight's dinner as well as on the ride already done this morning! Don't know if you've heard these tips before, but I divide my plate when it arrives (cut everything in half) and when my portion is done, I either have the remainder boxed up immediately, or throw my napkin on top of the remainder. (I've learned that I leave it just sitting there, I pick at it... until I've eaten it all!)

Thanks for the tip! This helps to plant an "intention" (borrowed from my yoga practice) for how to handle tonights dinner - I love the support on this site, thanks again! I admite how you fit in exercise and manage to stick so well to your eating plan when you are traveling so much!
