ashclark's Journal, 14 January 2010

I haven't been using this site too much lately because I've been writing everything down by hand.. it makes it easier for me to keep track of everything. Even with a smartphone, using all of these different portals to keep track of everything is beginning to get frustrating, but I digress.

I guess I am just writing a journal entry to catch myself (and anyone else who feels like reading) up on what's been going on as far as weight loss and getting healthy is concerned. For the last 3 weeks, I have been going to the gym 6 days a week, drinking more water than I probably ever have in my life, and counting calories. However, it seems that since I have made all of these things such an integral part of my life, I seem to keep going the wrong way in weight progress. It goes up instead of down, and it's beginning to get a wee bit frustrating. Okay, that's a lie.. it's entirely frustrating.

So, here I am hoping I can keep motivated this way by seeing it go down on the graph here soon. Otherwise, I have a feeling I'll just go right back to not really caring about what I eat and quit going to the gym all together and as easy as that sounds, I don't want that to be the case.

I need encouragement and motivation to keep going forward. :/

the exercise may be building muscle which is heavier than fat. Don't give up. I have your same problem. That's what we are here for.

I know it could be muscle building but ahh, I'm just getting so frustrated with it. Thanks for putting it in perspective though and reminding me I'm not the only one fighting this battle. :)
