HUGE breakfast today!! I even had a bagel. I'm not intentionally on a "Low Carb" Diet, but I rarely have them intentionally as part of my meals. I don't do pasta, bread, rice, etc or should I say, very rarely... This is because I found that many times I over ate, was when I was eating carbs.. so cutting them out has been very easy. I mostly only eat carbs found naturally in foods now... such as veggies, fruits, etc... Today, however, those bagels have been in my freezer for months. I wanted something to sop up the yolk from my eggs. So I had a bagel. HUGE breakfast. Gonna have to be very careful with my intake for the rest of the day.. it was soooooo delicious :D

Every now and then it's ok. It's when it becomes a habit, everyday multiple times that it's a problem and causes gains and addictions and whatnot. Hope you enjoyed the bagel since you DID have it after all. If you going to cheat, you should at LEAST enjoy what you eat... ;/

YES! No going back to piggy bad habits!! Just this one today. The rest are still buried in the freezer for another few months. I still eat whatever I want.. pretty much... just very little and portion controlled and counted.... so I didn''t consider this one really a 'cheat' .. I still use the word 'cheat' for things that I REALLY don't like to be a big part of my intake... for example, if I was to have a glass of whole milk.... I love milk, and drinking WAY too much was a big contribution to my obesity.... Things that were part of my old eating habits, I consider 'cheats'.... but labels schmabels..... I see people debate about calling things like this 'rewards' or other labels to make themselves feel better.. for me.. it's food.. a Rose by any other name.. as they say.... :P but as long as it's CONTROLLED food... :P

I like the way you think, Pickles. Good for you, and not restricting too many things out of your diet means you don't crave, which means you won't end up binging, which means you will lose faster etc etc. So, good mentality! I wish it were that easy for me! I just ate saltines and I was trying to stay low on crabs...

oh I never said what the breakfast was.. :P I had two fried eggs, with olive oil, the bagel, with some butter, and cucumber chips on the side. of course Coffee to drink :)

cucumber chips? how do you make those? in the oven?

ohhhh.. no, just sliced mini cucumbers.. they have a nicer texture and size than regular cucumbers. Bout the size of a quarter once cut and a nice crisp to them.... I slice them and eat them like chips

Nope.. no dips... unless you count when I dip them in my tuna salad

Made a smoothie with green peppers, apple and ginger. Made some steel-cut oatmeal and ate a small bowl of that with sunflower seeds, ginger and Macadamia nuts. Made a double expresso with my Lavazza expresso machine.

Have some fresh farm eggs from my son's farm. I enjoy looking after the chickens, when I am visiting him. I have some Genovese Basil ready to harvest and have with tomatoes for lunch.

I can't do traditional smoothies. The only 'smoothie' I can do is more like a slushie, with a ton of crushed ice, and frozen fruits. hmmmmm.... I would LOVE to be a place where I can have my own chickens!
