Although I am back with the weight which fits with my trend line, I recently went on a driving trip through many small towns and had to abandon my regular GF diet for a while. When I returned I didn't seem to be much heavier but in for the following two weeks my weight was bouncing around between 117 and 119. It was long enough that I started to get worried but fortunately I am now back at 115 or 116. I guess breaking my habits was enough to make me forget how to eat properly with only GF bread, few cookies even if they were GF (healthy ones baked by me) and lots of green veggies and fruit with small portions of fish.

I had an unpleasant scare on my trip. After a meal with sea scallops as the main protein, for the first time in my life I had an anaphylactic reaction. I was able to read up on it immediately and used an antihistamine to calm the trembling, intense temperature rise and itching that I felt as well as relaxing the throat muscles. I also found out that after a first reaction, the symptoms may become progressively worse with each future occurence. I bought an epi-pen the next day and I guess I will have to stop eating sea food which I quite like. Fish will still be ok as long as I cook it myself. To try it in a seafood restaurant might risk cross-contamination from utensils in the preparation.

Apart from that episode the time away with my husband was a wonderful break from routine - and he just loves to drive!
115.4 lb Lost so far: 21.6 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
