Yesterday was my brother's birthday celebration. I've been doing so well lately, I decided that I could let go for one meal and eat what everyone else was eating (pizza and birthday cake). I didn't set myself back too far calorie-wise and I didn't gain any significant amount of weight, but I got a sugar-induced headache within a few hours. The drive home was pretty painful, and I feel relatively awful today.

Hopefully, I'll remember this feeling the next time someone brings cake around.

I do feel much better, thank you. I think the "carb hangovers" are actually going to be good for me in the long run, since they will prevent me from going crazy, even on indulgence days.
