So here it comes.....the elephant in the room! I have been following atkins for about 6 weeks....lost 10 pounds so far and I feel great (except for the falling off the wagon at Halloween & Thanksgiving...which by the way made me feel terrible). Lots of energy, feel like I lost much more than 10 lbs for some reason (I probably should have taken measurements). Anyway......every time someone hears atkins.....I get the look...and the oh no that is soooo unhealthy. I am a nurse, I know a doctor, blah, blah, blah! I have to say, sometimes I wonder to myself....are all the eggs i am eating ok? I wonder if my cholesterol is up? Although I eat lots of veggies & fish, not keen on beef at all (I was a pescatarian before Atkins). Next week I am scheduled for bloodwork & just curious to see if anyone has had any cholesterol or other health issues. Also.....how do you handle the negativity of others? I am constantly hearing about it!
