I have to say that buying a Bodymedia Fit was one of the best purchases I’ve made this year!

It’s actually motivating when I’m wearing it using the monitor. What motivated me today was that I was trying to get my 15 minutes of vigorous activity. Normally at the 30 minute mark (and around 350 calories), I would have stopped. Now, I got off the treadmill, and did weights, and then hopped on the elliptical to get in the rest of my vigorous activity. It seems that about 20 minutes on the elliptical gave me 15 minutes of vigorous activity.

Yesterday, I went out to the Keg for dinner and totally blew my calories out of the water! I knew having eaten 3,200 calories, there was no way I could get a 1,000 deficit, but I NEEDED to break even. So I did a Leslie Sansone 2 mile “walk at home” DVD. I never would have done that before. Knowing , with more accuracy, how many calories I burn, is a really great thing!
