why on earth am i not losing weight????? grrr. its so frustrating. i've been sticking with phase one for the most part b/c i am not really craving carbs...so why on earth am i at a standstill? since i've finished phase one, the only difference is that i'll have the odd piece of fruit, on occasion. and yet, my weight is at the same place pretty much. i am happy it hasn't gone up, but its so irritating at the same time. i realize i am by far not the only person with this issue, but its bugging me so much, today in particular, must be hormones. I suppose i could start exercising, something more regular. *sigh* i just feel like giving up this time, but i won't. i know it'll just take time...

It doesn't look like you have a ton to lose, so you're probably losing a little slower because this is real weight and not water weight. ARe you doing enough exercise to also build muscle? Good luck and keep going!

How long have you been in Phase 1? Start to add one whole grain a day for 1 week, make sure you are eating alot of fiber and not just reduced fat cheeses and lean meats. Eat small, 5-6 times a day and try Yoga. After just a couple sessions it has been shown to raise your metabolism! Also, weights bumps up your metabolism big time and you will see your shape start to transform! You haven't gained, so that is great! Keep it up!

I'm an avid exerciser, so that would be my first suggestion. I also found that, when I'm absolutely STUCK, I bust my plateau by eating a little more and exercising a little more. I've been stuck so many times and, believe it or not, the trick is to up your calories by about 150 or so a day (maybe a couple extra ounces of chicken, one extra serving of veggies in olive oil, etc.) and about 20 to 30 extra minutes of walking. That may not appeal to you if you aren't already an active person, but I promise it will break your standstill. (And weightlifting will change your body quicker than absolutely anything else you can do. I got victorialynn618 doing it and she is a big fan now. It helps so much!)
