The weekend was pretty good. My best friend came up to get sized for the bridesmaid dress and order hers. We had a great time. We got that out of the way, did a little mall browsing, and went to dinner. We went out for sushi which isn't very Atkins-friendly and I just couldn't resist having some wine with everyone. I had an awesome time. It was so good to catch up and talk about the crazy stuff we used to get into.

Sunday I could've don't better. I ate my potatoes with my omelette and 1/2 slice of whole wheat bread. Dinner I had a very small scoop of mashed potatoes, ham, and stuffed cabbage. I barely picked at the mashed potatoes and the stuffed cabbage really didn't have much rice. It was my first time having it and I loved it. Yummy. I didn't need to have the two small slices of pumpernickel/rye bread. Could have done without for sure. Meh, live and learn.

Today I woke up more determined than every about changing my body. My bestie has started swimming and even joined a tri club. Go B! (We call each other "B"...) Her and I always do runs together and are doing the half marathon in May. However, I want to do more. I need to get myself back into the shape I used to be. I really need to get my running back. So this morning was a quick run and the Insanity Fit Test (I slept later than I planned). The fiance wants to do Insanity and will only do it if I commit too. So I'm going to. It's 60 days. I can do that. My fit test went okay. I wasn't too horrible and compared to the numbers they give, I was feeling pretty good. I also want to use my stationary bike more. So I'm going to do that while watching tv from now on. How I Met Your Mother and 2 Broke Girls will mean me on the bike.

Today is a hectic day at work with it being a short day. Lots to do. I'm cooking, doing laundry, and biking when I get home. Then BED. Haha, and then do it all again. Have to start planning exactly what I'm doing for Thanksgiving. Ugh, I seriously hate holidays. Just so stressful.

So back to the ol' grind.

It is good that you enjoyed the weekend with your friend. Indulging is important in our journey. Don't feel guilty about it. I envy you and the half marathon. That is awesome! Way to go "B" ;) Stay committed to the Insanity. I tried it out last year and only got throught the first 30 days. It brings results. Glad you and your soon to be hubby are doing it together.
