iulani's Journal, 25 August 2016

I read somewhere, long ago, that when you eat earlier in the day, it "flips a switch off" to your hunger later in the day. Yesterday I ate way later than I usually do, and much less...well lo and behold after dinner I was still hungry and making snacks right up until bedtime...just could not get satisfied. Also food choices were not the best...Here's to another day! I am NOT skipping breakfast :)! Or my workouts!!!! Have a great day everyone!

Hi lulani, I think you have to discipline yourself, and realize, when you get those hunger pangs, your body is signaling, that you are now burning calories aggressively. When I think that, it helps me fight off urges. I do believe that is true too. Then I may reward myself later with a nice meal.

Hey Warren, you know what helps me fight off hunger or eating calorie dense food? If I work out early in the day, I mentally know how many calories and how hard I worked to burn 400 or 500 off...so am I really gonna shovel that slice of pizza in my mouth and UNDO and entire workout???? No WAY! Have a great day Buddy, thanks for the input!
