Give it two weeks. If you are still gaining, not losing or just not happy...try something else. But a couple of days can't really tell much. Your body is adjusting! Are you doing LCHF? If so, there are a ton and a 1/2 people on here who can give you great advice on what to eat to lose faster. Just ask!

@advowade: good vidio; but i restrict carbs because i'm like a "carb junkie" i can't have 1 cigarette, and if i eat 1 peanut butter sandwich i'll end up eating a half a loaf of bread till i'm sick. i therefore must keep my carb cosumption tight , i bit of healthy vegetables or a couple strawberries. but controled. i've gained and lost the lbs. so many times . mostly due to stress (damn cortisol) and slipping back into old , easy habits. now i'm old (69) and trying it again but now i've not got the distractions of work and kids. i've lost quite a bit and feel generally better (just not this week) way more active , and i think healthier too. just gotta stick with it , not get lazy. i've recognized that flaw in me. i start stuff then get bored with it and not finish it. i do not like that trait in myself

Kathleen, I haven't done the fat fast and probably won't, but I've been kind of stuck in the same range for about a week I think. I'm sure that at least some is the cortisol which I'm hoping will settle down soon now but it is frustrating when you've been losing so well. I wish I was smarter but I'm guessing your statement about sticking with it is so true. This is where I've given up every time in the past but I'm determined to stick this time not because I want to look better which was my reason every time in the past, but because I want to be healthy. I know that's your reason, too. Your BP looks really good.

I noticed you didn't mention any kind of exercise. Do you only try to manage your weight with nutrition? I apologize if I'm being too personal.

i've been doing a lot of yard work this year . mowing digging planting, etc but actually this last month, not so much, just have not felt up to it. and at age 69; one has to listen to the body, just have to know when to push and when not to. and i've just felt off. got a dr appointment the 1st week in september. with labs. we will see if anything is off and go from there.
