Day three of caring about me and taking charge of my life again. I recently had some issues where I had to go see a cardiologist. Thankfully I'm not in any immediate danger but I haven't been doing myself any favors with all of my bad habits. I'll be 50 in less than a year and it's getting real folks- the body needs a little more extra care than it used to. Over the past couple of years I've achieved a lot of my goals- I just bought a beautiful house in March, last year I had a fantastic year selling my art- it feels great to accomplish goals. The one thing I haven't achieved yet is reaching my goal weight. So that is my newest, no excuses primary goal in life right now- to feel fabulous at 50! To start with, I'm shooting for a 30 lb loss by the end of the year. That's five pounds a month which will take me back to my lowest weight I'd achieved in the past (where I felt good and looked pretty good too). Then I have four more months to try for another 8-10 lbs before my birthday in May. I've lost 30 lbs before, I can do it again.
