JUNE 2016 wrap up

~Average daily calories approx. 1400
~Average energy expenditure est. 2648 (by FS, which is too high)

~Number of 24 hours fasts: 8
~Number of 16 hour daily fasts: almost half of the eating days as I began adding that in mid-month

~Hunger: Almost never experiencing uncomfortable hunger. One day when I tried to fast night time to night time was MISERABLE. More comfortable and less constantly thinking about food than any other eating plan I've ever been on. The best fasting time 12 PM to 12 PM and daily eat times 1 PM to 8 or 9.

~I injured my back during the last week so I have been slowed on my resistance weight training (which for me is farm work in my extensive gardens).

~Weight began the diet at 222.8, began month: around 217. I couldn't change my starting weight because I changed my diet plan.

~Weight ended the month: 205.6 from a few days ago, not weighing until next week.

~Month loss: 11.4, overall loss 17.2

~Observations: When I let my carb level rise, my hunger level rises with it, but due to necessary dietary restrictions (SCD Diet for celiac healing foods only) super low carb isn't great for me. I'm best between 40-60 nc. I still lose weight rapidly while the hunger stays in check. Eating avg. (Fat: 83.86g, Protein: 85.74g, Carbs: 79.33g)

~This month's goal: minimum 5 lbs. lost or hopefully more. Carbs at 60 Fat slightly higher.

very much appreciate your month "wrap up". I have started the 16 hour fasts today and feeling good...even went to the gym on a belly full of water only. glad to see your comment on it.I totally agree with your observation that when carb level rises so does hunger....keep going girl ...you are doing great...

Happy to share the good and the struggle - that's how we all learn isn't it?! I have found that much we attribute to "starving," "feeling faint" and other symptoms are more in our heads than we would have believed. I have done an intense hour and a half of heavy yard work at the end of a 24 hour fast and felt no different than had I been fed. You could NOT have convinced me of that before starting this W.O.L. (Someone reading this may think the same thing right now :-)!) Honestly, this is the easiest, least uncomfortable "diet" I've ever been on and it's a good thing because I'm going to have to follow it to some degree for the rest of my life. I can not do any more yo-yoing.
