I don't know how to do anything on here either. Except post statuses. How did you add your profile picture?

You have to use a separate site like photobucket and link the photo in. Photos can only be linked into original journal posts and not in the comment area.

NavymomT If you are trying to add pictures to your journal, you must sign up for free image hosting on an external site separate from FatSecret. Photobucket.com & imgur.com are good places to create an account to upload images. If you have an email address or facebook, you create your new account, upload your image to that account, imgur or photobucket which ever you choose. View your upload when your done, then go to the right of the page and go for direct link. Copy the link from your newly uploaded image, go to your journal. Right under where it says record a new journal entry look for the image icon. Click the image icon until you see the img img tags. Paste the address between the img tags and click save on your journal when your ready to post. These are desktop computer instructions.

@Joshua Rael: it's easier than that. For imgur you don't need an account, you go to imgur.com and click upload (blue button upper left)either browse or drag n' drop. Once the image is uploaded you'll see a list of codes on the right..just copy the BBCode (Forums) link. It has the [img] tags included and just paste into your journal entry. For your profile photo...i'm sure Google Chrome isn't working, however, Firefox works, under your settings click change profile photo and upload a new one.

Tina, in your journal entry page there is a tool bar above the text window, there is an icon that looks like a mountain with a sun above it...that is your image inserter, click that button and two image brackets will appear in your text box. Copy the image address of your photo, I just use my facebook photo album, right click on the photo click copy image address (this does not not work correctly in internet explorer, but does work on google chrome) and then go to your text box and click between the beginning image bracket and the ending image bracket, paste your image address in there and then type any text you want. You can't see it while you are typing it will appear in your feed after you save, you can go back in and edit your journal if it does not look the way you want it to.

Hi. I'm new to FatSecret. I find it to be more user friendly than MyFitnessPal, so I'm actually using it. I just woke up one morning 20 lbs heavier! How did that happen? Can't ignore it anymore.

Hi Mary Ann, welcome to FS hopefully you can correct that problem here, it's what most of us are attempting to do. It will take you a couple of days to learn your way around. If you click on the far right button of the tool bar above your feed, the one that looks like a spiral notebook with a #1 in it. That is your journal entry page. You can post there and folks can see it and interact with you. Lots of support on this site, best of luck to you

Mary Ann... I like FS too, but hopefully they will update the program to make posting images easier. 20 pounds divided into hindsight and forethought equals wisdom & that skinny girl inside of you waiting to play again.

Thank you, Life. When I got married, over 30 yrs ago, I weighed 120, now 150, and, for the first time in my life, I'm considered overweight for my height. It's eye-opening and I will get it under control.

Tina, what browser are you using? What website are your photos uploaded to? Which step is causing you confusion?

I hope this helps! Suzy helped me with downloading pictures. I would suggest opening up a free account with Imgur. It is a wonderful site for downloading pictures. Once you understand downloading pictures on the site, you click on the BB Code for downloading, when you hit the icon in front of the BB Code it will say copied. (I have only figured this out on a laptop, not a phone.) The copied picture is now in the copy mode saved. Then you go to the FS Image icon at the top of your journal entry box. You then hit Ctrl key and V at the same time, with your cursor over the image icon at the same time. This will paste it to the icon and download it. At least that is the way you do it on my laptop. So you copied from Imgur, then paste to FS Image icon. Hope this helps you. Bye Bye Warren
