AIC from OB was 5.7. Last year it was 5.2, down from 5.7 the year before. I was really disappointed with that, because I have been working hard to keep it down, and at borderline, it means my PCP will be nagging me to take the oral diabetic meds etc which I've seen studies that while it slows the progress, it messes up your body to basically where you WILL go diabetic over the long run. A good reminder to not splurge on birthdays etc. Eat like a diabetic, so you won't be one. Or when you finally admit you cannot hold the sugar down with diet, that you are at least in the habit of eating in a way that will require less insulin than a sugar carb filled diet would...sigh.
