We've had two enjoyable but exhausting days in Boston. Yesterday walked about 5 miles, I think, from Copley to Bunker Hill by a winding route that passed a lot of the historic sites. We also walked round one of the markets, and visited Paul Revere's house, an interesting old building dating from 1680. Finished off in a popular restaurant in Chinatown, where we had a very good meal (and reasonably healthy!) for a only $27 for the two of us.

Today we started at the Isabella Gardner museum. She collected countless works of art on her travels, and then built, amazingly, a stunning Venetian palace to display them in. Fabulous! Had a good lunch in a student canteen at the nearby College of Art and Design, then went to the arboretum. We only made it around one third of the arboretum, which is enormous! Probably walked about 4 miles today.

Then walked back to our digs in Jamaica Plain, by way of the local grocery store. It will be beans on toast for tea later, as my legs and feet are aching and I really don't want to go out again today. Mike says he feels more tired than after one of Mary's mountain walks, and believe me they are tough walks, and Mike is pretty fit!

Off to Cape Cod tomorrow for a couple of nights stay. We were hoping to take a ferry out to Nantucket Island, but apparently it's going to rain, so we might have to amuse ourselves with a brewery tour instead 😉🍻
