Boone00021's Journal, 06 April 2016

Squeezed out 2 lbs to get below 250 finally, approaching original start weight from 5 years ago. I have been under the weather for 3 days and done very little exercising so I am happy that I still dropped 2 lbs.
Although, I still weigh more than when I first decided I was too heavy, fat, and out of shape. So I have been sweating at the gym, watching my calories all to make up for my failures from 2012 to 2015. Most people that see me look and at and say how much weight I have put on because I probably have from the last time I saw them.
I am glad it's trending my way, but i crying as I type this because of the frustration of being a fat person most of my life. Sometimes I work up a good self hate for myself.
This is typed from the heart to the keyboard, no one I know in everyday life would every look here.
248.0 lb Lost so far: 24.0 lb.    Still to go: 33.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

That's why we are here Boone, our eating and exercise routines are very personal and emotional. A naturally thin person cannot understand our struggles and society as a whole condemn us (overweight people) as being lazy, unhealthy gluttons. They act like we CHOOSE to be this way. This stereotyping creates poor self image, depression, loss of confidence. Your body is doing the best it can with the food it's given to work with. They are amazing machines and they can do better if we start paying attention to what goes into them. Try not to spend too much time floundering in the woulda, coulda, shouldas. Look forward, set your chin in the direction you want to go and march. It's simple, but not easy, you can do this and we are all here rooting for you. In the past several years research has uncovered many fallacies we were taught about eating. Do some research, learn what your body actually needs to function. Apply what you learn to your eating habits and find what works for you. Everyone is different, there is no perfectly right or wrong way to change your lifestyle, there is no "magic pill". It's a long road to good health, but we will be right there with you every step of the way!

You couldn't be at a better place to get support when you're having a hard time. We all know how hard it is to let past mistakes go, but regret does nothing for you. Celebrate the two pounds and stay on track for the next two. I believe you can do it, because I believe I can do it!

I feel ya brother! My wife was in the gym working out and this woman walked up and said "why are you here, you're too fat to be here". My wife came unglued! Mind you she's 5'5", 160 lbs but she can throw me around! (we are fight partners that ran a medieval group and did live combat). At our gym we have a boxing ring.........she beat that little skinny bitch to a pulp! She never came back to our gym! Who do these people think they are! All of us are doing our best to have a better life and be healthier. Nobody is going to stop us!!!!!! You keep your (what we call) "FAIRE" face on, smile and drive on to your goals! They will not win....never, Never, NEVER!!!
