Anyone know if running everyday actually does freakin anything for weightlosss????

I think I've hit a plateau.

i'm not sure what to do - I dont actually diet or restrict my eating all that much on my Non-Fast days and I was wondering if anyone has specific things they eat on NON-fast days.

just stick to it!! dont give up!! i know those plateaus are the pits but keep it up cause something just snaps and the weightloss starts again. maybe you are also building muscle and thats why you are not losing? do your clothes feel looser?

HafPaf running does wonders for your cardiovascular system. It will speed up your metabolism and make you feel great! Big ups for the increased energy levels! I would however also advise you to also add resistance and flexibility routines as the three form the Holy trinity! Let me know if you need advise on how to start doing that! Keep up the good work!

I super agree with Gerhardt, HafPaf!! I always say to people: running will not make you loose weight, because u can't rely on it alone. Great abs are made in the kitchen :-) weight loss is 90% about what you eat and 10% about how you exercise. I've dropped chunks in a week, by just eating super strategic. When you exercise, you build and tone. But if you've got fat over that muscle. No amount of exercise will push through the slightest layer of fat. But eating clean/strategic, will drop the fat. Then keep on exercising and when the fat falls off, the muscle will come shining through! We are unfortunately what we eat :-P And yes, like Tanya49 says: stick to it!! Rome wasn't built in a day!!! It will pay off!!!! Let's go hard this week and the rest of this month and we'll surely see brilliant results!! It's not easy, but it's worth it!! And this months food choices, WILL determine next months body!!! Go get it!!!

HafPaf in my experiments I found that its best to pay attention to your macros on your non-fast days. The amounts of protein, fat, carbs starts to play a role in your progress once you reach a certain point. I found that aiming to eat 1.8 times my bodyweight in protein and 1 times my bodyweight in fat on every non-fast day helps me to keep losing. I only restrict my carbs on Tuesdays by keeping carbs to less than 50g but eventually I will do the same to my Thursdays. Whilst cardio is good, the best fat burning occurs when you add weight training to your life. Deadlifts are known to be ideal for burning fat so if you just do that exercise alone it will help.

I can't speak from a personal experience because I don't like running, but my friend (who is 55 and at that age it is hard to lose) runs every day and she DID lose weight - noticeably! Maybe you have to increase your miles or speed. Your body may have gotten used to the same routine.

Eating for a calorie controlled diet that is specific to your body and running will result in weight loss. it will however also result in muscle loss if it is longer distance running. Heavy weight training and metabolic conditioning workouts can be a great addition for weight loss. All is in vain through if your diet is not in check.

PS, Focus on fatloss rather than weightloss.
