Chancelet's Journal, 03 February 2016

Okay, I've lost a lot of weight, had skin removal surgery, which had me pretty much laid up for two months, but am happy with the results. I'm doing better and still healing.

But, now I can't stop eating! Is it the weather, being wintry and cold? Not being able to play tennis just yet? I'm good at not bringing bad stuff home, but being back at work is horrendous, as I eat out more and there's junk around all the time. I can resist most stuff, but still, eating is more on the mind.

I've gained almost 5 pounds, though some of it could be swelling. But, this is why I've begun to log my foods again, because I knew I was eating more than I realized, and am eating when I'm not hungry. Lord help me!

I'll try not to worry too much, and will try and keep my mind off of the sweets and stay away from those bad carbs.

Logging is good! Not letting yourself get off track is maintenance of your disease, just like a diabetic having to track her numbers. It sucks, but you have to remind yourself how hard you worked to get her and how hot you look now! Congratulations on raising your niece and nephew. If you kept them on the right track when it became necessary, you can keep yourself on track now too! Good luck!

Thanks! It's what I need to hear. I'm trying to cut down the carbs, especially sweets, although I had marshmallows today. I have no more! I usually stop logging when logging gets me obsessing about food. Then times like this comes, when I'm eating when I'm not hungry. Hopefully I can get back to tennis by March.

Congrats again on all your success. You know what to do knock the five pounds away like nothing - but maintenance is tough. Maybe try logging and watching it during the weekdays and then have high calorie days on weekends? You will sort it out.

Yes HCB, I'm trying to keep that in mind... that it'll go away quickly. Thanks for the confidence building.
