I don't have much to say, I just wanted to ask for your good thoughts Friday. I stopped by my doctors office to pick up a prescription and while there ask the girl if my doctor had gotten a cancellation for a physical (I had an appointment for June but was hoping for one sooner) she said yes Friday morning at 9. I took the appointment I was hoping for something in late March so I would have lost a little more weight. I haven't had labs done since I started Atkins so I'm a little worried. As those of you who are any LCHF eating grogram the people around you like to tell you how bad it is for you. I really don't want them to be right because I feel so much better eating this way.

The rest of my day has been normal, I got my shots but still have to go 2 more times to get caught back up to once a month I somehow managed to get behind when I was having all the retina stuff. It wouldn't be so bad but I feel crummy the rest of the day on the day I get them so once a month is enough.

@Addie, look at your food list from 2/1: Sugar Free Creamer = Acesulfame Potassium :Diet Green Tea = Sucralose, Acesulfame POtassium: Atkins Pizza = Sucralose. These are all Artificial Sweeteners. Acesulfame Potassium or Ace-K produces an insulin response the same as Glucose. So while you have medication that is helping to keep your weight high, the answer is still in your diet. Good Luck.

Ok the coffee creamer is bad but I only drink half the cup of coffee it's in and the green tea is bad but again I only drink half of it. It didn't seem so important to me to mess with the amount when I knew the amount. Yes the pizza isn't so good but it's not like I eat it every day. What your saying is I should never have something that isn't perfect LCHF. Well I'm sorry this is the real world not a military world and I do understand the military way of thinking my best friends husband is military and I love him like a brother and for the last 30 years I've lived very close to a base due to my DHs job. Yes I could do better sometimes but I'm human. I don't take cheat days as some do but I don't condem them for it.

I have been vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, and tried Atkins, too (my sweets intake has always been minimal). Blood work after 6-12 months on each of these diets proved that my cholesterol, blood pressure & pulse was in-your-face, dramatically best on my vegetarian & vegan diets. Quite simply, fresh fruits & salads (instead of cooked meat loaded in saturated fat) is what your body has the easiest time digesting. There's more to consider besides weight loss - colon cancer, breast cancer, clogged arteries - so yes, research your results and adjust your diet to make yourself healthier.
