Want2BFit's Journal, 26 October 2009

I woke up this morning with a pleasant soreness from last nights workout. I'm not sure if it was the Turbo Jam Fat Blaster or the Cardio Sculpt Express, but it was a good sore where you feel like you obviously got a good workout, but not unbearable to the point where you have to drag your limbs to move correctly. I also did a little jogging with the doggie yesterday so maybe that was it? I think Keep It Up/Ramp it Up is on deck for tonight although I haven't decided. I need to do something soon though instead of waiting until late at night. For some reason I always get my workouts done @ like 10pm which then gives me a surge of energy and I can't sleep. Last week I made some ground turkey/chicken sausage and threw in some egg whites to use the carton so it woudln't go bad. I had it today for brunch and it was really good. I'm not sure why my protein shake was extra clumpy today, but I couldn't drink it like that so I guess I'll make another one for later and have it after my workout. I wish my RevAbs would get here already, too bad I don't live on the West Coast I feel like I'm going to have to wait until the end of the week to get it. Even so, Oct is pretty much over so I ordered it just in time to start for Nov 1st! :)

I still haven't read about rev-abs. Going to look again tonight. Do you do keep it up and ramp it up in one session? Wow if you do! I did cardio core this morning and going to do keep it up tonight. I am wanting to try a couple different ones too. What other Debbie Sieber's have you tried. They have a lot on Amazon at a good price but I want to order something good. Please give me some suggestions.

Yes, its very new and I just saw that it'll be available on the website on Thursday (10/29). I only did Ramp It Up so far, I want to do Keep It Up again, but that'd be a bonus, I'm glad I got the minimum req. out of the way. I really liked Cardio Sculpt, I may do Cardio Core tonight I can do it w. Keep It Up since its lacking in the ab section, we'll see how ambitious I am with that. I keep wanting to try Slim Series, other than the Tone It Up that I tried, but I think I'm going to just stick with SI6 or Slim Series Express w. RevAbs. I can't wait to get it so I can figure out what I want to do b/c Chalean Extreme popped into my head as a supplement w. RevAbs, since they're both not that long. I have no idea what I'm doing lol, I'm just excited to see where I else I can take my results! Are you still doing your treadmill workouts w. SI6/Keep It Up?

Keep on rocking it Kris. I see your weight graph plummeting. What was your strategy when you lost that first 60 something pounds?

Hey JCD, thanks so much for the support! :) When I lost the first 60 I was doing ANYTHING to lose weight, I was doing cardio 4x's a week and strength training as well as Atkins South Beach Fat Flush JUDDDD eating only lunch, I was all over the place. I'm so grateful this time around I'm learning how to eat more intuitively when I'm hungry and not out of emotion. I've been doing Slim in 6 for the last month and a half and it has completely changed my body which I am excited about. So I'm going to start Protein Power on Monday as well as a new workout program to hit my goal by NYE! :)

I found the revabs. It's 579.00 wow that's more than I can spend on a program. Lucky you. You will have to let me know how it works. Why is it so expensive?

wow, $500? Does it come w. the instructor lol. That has to be a typo on that sellers part b/c that doesn't even make sense; I've never heard of this instructor before last week so i'm not sure how his program could even warrant such demand. You can look on my site (www.teambeachbody.com/fitisthenewblk) and it's only $79.90. I have my fingers crossed mine will get here tomorrow, so I'll definitely keep you posted with my thoughts on the program. By the way, what are your goals exactly now that you're in maintenance? Have you ever considered that's a good one too.

I want to maintain and am trying to figure out just what to do exercise wise. Any suggestions? I was on the beachbody site where I found the price. I am going to check it again. Maybe your's was cheaper because you are a coach.

That's truly bizarre lol, I'm just going to go w. that has to be a typo b/c I don't think it launches on the BB website until tomorrow. I'm not sure what kind of workouts you like, but I don't think you can go wrong w. TurboJam. As you've seen w. my rotations of Slim in 6, I get bored kind of easy, and I need something fun that makes me feel like i'm not working out. If it wasn't for the mind blowing results I probably would've tossed Debbie aside as well. I used TJ when I first got started in 06 and it's always been fun, if you like the dancy type workouts. Its a kickboxing/dance style that will have you drenched. The good thing is you're already beyond your goal so its just about finding something that you can stick with/look forward to a few times a week. I've heard good things about Hip Hop Abs, but after trying it it wasn't really for me. I actually really like Slim Series Express just b/c its short, but if you were to get that it'd be cheaper for you to just buy Cardio Sculpt Express since you already have Cardio Core. You may also like 10 Minute Trainer too, I like it b/c its only 10 minutes, so you can do a few workouts at your convenience and still get a workout. Aside from BeachBody products though, I know T-Tapp, Callanetics, Bar Method, Tracy Anderson, Tracy Effinger Squeeze, Pure Barre, Physique 57 and the like are also good for giving the lean looking body, so that would be great in addition to your treadmill workout. If you're not familiar w. them they're those ballerina/barre workouts that work the smaller muscles but really sculpt your thighs/buns/legs b/c you're using your own body weight. I have most of those, which are good, but they're too slow for me so as great as they are I can't stick to them for more than a few sessions before they're collecting dust. Melt It Off with Mitch is another program that uses a medicine ball, but its really intense; Xflowsion is a yoga/dance/martial arts workout, it's kind of new agey, so its not for everyone, but I liked it although I don't use it as often. This post is insanely long already, lol, but yes I know a lot of stuff about workout videos...
