Donna Mashburn's Journal, 28 January 2016

Well, I finished my first fast and I did well with it. Yay me! I felt the most unsure of myself during the first 6-8 hours or so, but after that it didn't seem to bad. The coffee worked to satisfy me at work and then I went home and went straight to bed. When I awoke, I was feeling good! Not at all hungry even though it had been 21 hours since I ate. Went to the gym and did a Taebo workout. I did feel tired and a little shaky afterwards, so the fast ended at 23 hours.
All I can say is God bless my DH! I got up to a supper he prepared for me. Thanks, dear! Unfortunately, he fixed venison stew meat cooked with potatoes and a hoe cake (a giant biscuit). Complete with cane syrup to put on the hoe cake for dessert! He tells me that he didn't use any oil when he made the bread for me, so it should be OK. (me, smiling) So, I coached him on how to change it to make it low carb for the next time! Bless him!
So, my first fast didn't wind up having the great calorie deficit I'd hoped for, but at least I did it and know I can do it again! I'll get to weigh in on Saturday.
