Time for a clothing related rant: Warning I do swear...

Still losing weight, still exercising, still in the process of remodeling my body. Only annoying part is the fact that I have to keep buying clothing, which costs money and makes me have to spend time trying on clothing (which i really hate unlike most women) I want women's clothing to be as easy as mens, you know what size you are, you grab and go. Women's clothing are not fashioned like that due to our irregular shapes, some are pear, some are reverse triangle (top heavy me), some are hourglass. But dammit a size 9 from one mfg should be the same from every manufacturer, but they aren't and I HATE HATE HATE the inconsistancy. How the f*ck can I shop online for clothing if one size 9 is not the same as all? Oh wait, I can't, thanks for nothing you fashion Nazi's who decided to make womens clothing as complicated as f*cking possible

~LIKE~ This is one of my biggest complaints!!! I wish a size 16 was a size 16.. not an 18 at Marks.. not a 14 at old navy etc. I hate vanity sizing, I like going in knowing what I am getting and leaving - which is probably why I buy yoga pants all the time lol a large is generally a large..... (most of the time) To be honest I don't even know my 'real" size. Also, I hate clothes shopping so trying on clothes is never a fun process for me.

same problem in th UK. I try to buy on ebay to keep the cost of replacing fabulosly baggy old clothes...but....there can be as much as a 4" difference AAAARRRRGGGGGG!!!!! At least on ebay you have a chance to ask what the measurement is before you buy, otherwise how are we supposed to know? They don't do it with shoes so why oh why with clothes? It doesn't make a difference what the label says it won't make you look thinner so WTF!!!

I would LOVE to have this problem and looking forward to having it. Now I can only buy from Plus Size websites. I can't wait to try on clothes at a REGULAR woman's store and admire my healthy body looking all sassy in clothes with two numbers instead of one number and lots of X's.

Thanks for the perspective check catzz! You will get there. No matter how thin part of me is I still have to buy large and x large shirts cause of boobs. Still wish a size whatever was the same from brand to brand...at least with pants

I can completely relate to your rant! I think the only thing I haven't had to replace since starting my weight loss journey is my shoes! And it's tough to buy in stages...as you lose the weight, because you just know that if the scale numbers continue to fall, what you buy today won't fit in a few weeks. I saved some money by buying from second-hand stores during that time and waited until I was within about 15 lbs of my goal before I replaced all of my under garments. (Yes, I had to live through the good-natured teasing my hubby gave me for wearing baggy granny-bottoms for a while, but I'm the one grinning now at his reaction to my new sexier lingerie! LOL) In any case, sizing is crazy, but look on the bright side...what sizes you're trying on now are smaller than what you used to wear. That's worth a smile at the dressing room mirror anyday!

Funny you mention underwear BC, I bought lots of those in October, course they were all too small (boy was i in denial of my size) I wasn't able to wear them until the last 2 months or so, so I had 5 pairs of underwear waiting for me to shrink. I probably need to throw out my granny panties now that are all much too big :) Still not happy seeing myself in a dressing room mirror though...better now at this weight then my b4 weight, but I still look too fat/pudgy for me to wanna see me undressed.

I agree with sizing it is crazy to try and keep up....I have spent a fortune on clothes this year have already given some brand new ones away.....I can't wear baggy clothes I can't stand it.....so I just have to bite the bullet but the sizing in different stores is insane.....who cares what the label says it's how you look.....I don't like trying on never have......

Glad to know I'm not the only person who dislikes clothing sizes being so different from store to store and brand to brand. Most of my clothing buys have been thrift or given to me, so I haven't had to spend too much yet, which seems silly if i'm not going to be staying at those weights very long, however once I'm at my goal weight I will again have to get a new wardrobe.
