Monday has arrived much too quickly for my tastes ... drat!!!

However, with every day comes new possibilities and opportunities so I will embrace it. No carpooling today ... I have a late appt. and my hubby doesn't like to wait around for me. That means I don't have to rush quite so much this morning which is nice. So ... what are my opportunities today?

I am going to check out a place called "the office," a co-working environment in town that might be a place I can use for my new part time little business without spending an arm and a leg for overhead for an office. That's the only opportunity I know of but I'm sure other things will present themselves ... as the day unfolds.

We went and saw Conan the Barbarian yesterday. I didn't like it. The special effects were good but I wasn't enthralled by the story line nor the blood and guts. Even my husband didn't like it and blood and guts don't bother him. His complaint was they didn't follow the "correct" Conan story line. At least we went to the early show so it didn't cost quite so much ... and it did get us out of the house. I much preferred Cowboys and Aliens. Oh and I did eat popcorn. I didn't have them put the "butter" on it ... but still the salt and the oil they pop it in ... I guesstimated the calories and that is all I had for lunch so there you have it. And I drank a bottle of water instead of soda. Three cheers for me.

No surprise though that weight was up a tad this morning, the salt alone could cause that. Only a lb. so hopefully tomorrow or the next day it will be back down. I made stuffed zucchini last night and it was quite tasty. It made a lot so there are leftovers for the man's lunch this week.

I did get a few things done this weekend ... but not as much as I had hoped. It is amazing how time just disappears ... it passes much too quickly. I did some ciphering regarding my business in my efforts to begin to set some goals and objectives. Still waiting on my books from Amazon recommended to me by the bride here ... hopefully they will come this week and inspire me to get even more concrete with my goals and objectives.

We bought a little Oster blender to make smoothies and I made my first one this morning for the man. He said it was good. I used chocolate almond milk, banana, cottage cheese and flax oil. I didn't taste it. I may make myself one before I head to work ... although I already had breakfast ... we'll see if I am hungry. I may just skip it for myself and just have my flax oil ala carte.

Time for my grateful list.

1. Stepping on the scale ... not seeing the numbers I really want to see but being able to simply take in the information and not stress out about it.

2. Not having to rush out the door by 6:15 am this morning.

3. Slowly making progress on my "to do" list.

4. Sweet, juicy grapes.

5. .... gosh my brain just is having a hard time coming up with things today!!!

So ... since I appear to be partially brain dead I think I'll wrap this up. I am continuing to practice kindness ... quite imperfectly of course but practice I do. Have a good Monday!!

Morning Carol! Sorry the movie wasn't as good as you hoped it would be but I know that popcorn was worth the trip lol because I had some the same way you did and it was so amazing I couldn't stop shoveling it in my mouth. I hope that the office space will work for you. I'm happy you're moving along with this despite your doubts. We never know what our capacity for accomplishment is until we try and you and I have a little of that risk taking behaviour in us. lol I hope you have a great Monday and hope we can chat again soon.

I love that you are cooking- your zucchini sounds amazing. Can't believe you didn't stick a finger in the smoothie!! How do you do that?? Sorry conan stunk..I hate that, a fortune to see a movie they should come with a guarantee. Anyway..loving your happiness and kindness..I'm feelin it!
