First day. Yay!! Having a pot luck at work probably not the best day to start but it needs to start now. I feel ready and excited about it. Hoping to stay focused, I use to be so disciplined but due to some health issues I stopped working out over a year ago and my diet changed. As a result I gained about 15 lbs and lost lots of muscle tone. To make things worse I have a boyfriend who is not very supporting with my weight loss goals. He does not understand how much this weight gain has affected me. Anyway I welcome any tips or positive feedback.

Good job not saying "I'll wait to start til after this dinner". I said that each day, or week for the last year. I've put on 20 pounds in one year because of that philosophy. (And I was 10 pounds up already then.) Keep fighting the good fight. It'll be worth it.

Thank you. It is such a battle specially being over 40. Feel like my metabolism went on vacation and never came back. lol I appreciate the encouragement it is much needed.

My boyfriend isnt supportive either. I told him this morning I now weigh 149 when I was stuck between 151-153 for MONTHS and he just goes "your perfect always" so I dont get much support on that end. He doesn't understand why I workout all the time. Its tough to stay motivated by yourself but you will push through Keep it up!

That's awesome. Keep working at it. Yes I completely understand. My boyfriend says the same thing. He thinks I'm crazy for wanting to lose weight. He always wants to eat out and constantly suggests that we get something sweet. I am seriously considering ending the relationship if he doesn't change. I told him he doesn't need to understand it he only needs to be supportive and stop trying to feed me. I feel so out of shape snd I am not happy. He better be careful. Lol
