I absolutely love soup when it’s cold. My grandmother used to have a pot going on the stove all winter and they would add to it daily. I think it was a remnant of living through the great depression in the family, but the depth of flavor was amazing. Same with a bean soup similar to cassoulet but with an Eastern European twist, which I think was using what you have on hand. Good to remember these things.

I love soup too. Yours looks delicious. Tomorrow I plan to make gumbo, which is a soup.
