KualityE's Journal, 11 November 2015

Just a bad day for the diet. I wish I said no to going out to lunch.

I also have to stop trying to mess with my diet so much. I have been researching the Nutritarian diet and some things make sense but ultimately I had been already getting healthy habits and losing weight. I don't need to drastically change my life style to fit that way of eating completely.

Eating a diet based on vegetables is where I was heading slowly and already made significant progress from pr4evious habits.

The limited Salt Oil and Sugar (SOS) was something I had been slowly trying to do. I cook and add the SOS as truly needed to make things taste right. never in large amounts.

And I had been trying to incorporate beans nuts and seeds in to the diet for protein and fiber.

How ever I think the quick weight loss I saw from my research made me want to push for the drastic diet change to very low calorie diet that many go on.

I need to stick to my plans and not fall into traps.

Incremental changes are probably best . . . I was moving along well and for some reason felt I still needed to 'change things up' and tried 16:8 fasting for awhile and I think that ultimately contributed to a 'meltdown binge' last week. Tweaking things here and there is fine, but if your plan is working AND workable for your lifestyle and moving you towards healthier habits, slow and steady is definitely the way to go vs. lots of drastic changes at once.

Thanks losinit1655 for the comment, I think my plans were workable for my life style and will continue to make small changes. Hope you were able to get back to your diet plans from before you tried the 16:8 fasting with out too many issues, I know it's not always easy going back.

Yep -- back on plan since Sunday and fortunately/surprisingly no significant 'consequences' to have to reverse! Good luck!
