Okay, I'm headed to Chicago this weekend. That usually means my eating plan goes out the window. My mentality is, hey, I'm on vacation. I'll resume my eating plan when I get back home. I'll probably eat at least two of the ten things on my no-no list because I'll eat what my mother fixes. I know we're going to go to this soul food buffet that my husband and I like. But I'm going to follow some advice I read recently about eating at buffets. My plan is to eat a small portion of protein. Then go back and get lots of vegetables and fruits. I won't partake of any starches or carbs. It's great that I'll be doing a lot of walking so I won't sacrifice exercising. My main plan is to exercise portion control, eat mindfully, stop when I'm full, and eat as much fruits and vegetables as possible, and of course, drink lots of water. I'll let you know how I did.
