Had a particularly difficult food day, yesterday. My step-daughter arrived from Hong Kong, for a couple of days holiday, prior to going to a conference in Amsterdam. We were up at 5:45 so I had a large bowl of Porridge, to keep me going. However, as soon as we got into car to go to the airport, we received a Skype to say she had missed her connecting flight and would be arriving a few hours later. Back in the house, after several cups of coffee, my wife announced she was making toast, and did I want some. So I had two slices of thinly buttered toast. After picking Laura up at the airport we went to her gran's, where she is staying, and had lunch. My wife had bought a butcher's steak pie but I had an individual one, with the calories clearly marked on the box. However, I did have mashed potatoes, roast potatoes and veg. I passed on dessert! I had a Slim a soup and a ham sandwich for dinner, but by Strictly time I was hungry so had a bag of Quavers! I reckon I just scraped in around my RDI of 2200 calories, but it was a difficult day, albeit a one off.
